Destination leadership

From 2014 to 2018, Eric served as Executive Director of the Space Coast Office of Tourism in Brevard County, Florida — a destination economy generating nearly $3 billion annually and supporting 22,000 jobs.

Under his leadership, the office grew tourism tax revenue past $10 million, transformed its marketing operation around digital and data-driven strategy, and built the unified Space Coast brand connecting Cocoa Beach, Port Canaveral, Titusville, Melbourne, Palm Bay, and Viera.

Earlier in his career, he led marketing and business development for the Jekyll Island Authority in Georgia, building destination strategy for one of the Southeast's distinctive coastal resorts.

National tourism policy

In 2018, Eric was appointed Chairman of the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Advisory Committee on Travel and Tourism Infrastructure, serving as a national voice on the transportation and mobility infrastructure that tourism economies depend on.

Current work

Eric currently oversees a multi-property hospitality portfolio for Baugher Hotel Group, including Radisson Resort at the Port and three additional hotels, plus related transportation and parking operations serving Kennedy Space Center, Port Canaveral, and the Cocoa Beach visitor market.

He serves as President of the Cocoa Beach Area Hotel & Lodging Association.
